Hi ! I teach the same grades at Wando High. Similar situation, last week I had to teach the students how to ask me questions ~ Class room english ~ !! “i need to go to the toilet” I had a power point show with toilet photos. That got there attention! and “teacher, i need help please” as opposed to frantic waving hands in the air and random grunts *ugg un ah eh* and pointing to words on a page. This meant “Teacher, could you help me say these words, please?”
Ah another day teaching 16yr olds!
