I’ve recently noticed these burger ads around for Lotteria. The Lady Burger, a burger for the ladies. It’s made using Han Woo beef and is apparently only for ladies. Sorry boys!! If anyone has tried it, please let me know how it tastes. I’m tempted to try one but I’m not a lady.
The weather patterns this year have caused kimchi cabbage production to be much lower than in previous years. There is much less supply this year and still the same strong demand. Some restaurants are starting to serve smaller portions of kimchi with meals to conserve kimchi. The South Korean government is also importing more cabbages from places such as China to offset shortages being experienced. Watch the video below.
Red Bean Filled Fish
On the bus back from Jinju to Suncheon, Breagh bought us some snacks to eat. The snacks included a bag of these fish pastries. The Korean name for these snacks is 붕어빵 (Bungeoppang). These are traditionally filled with red bean filling but can also be filled with custard or ice cream. These are sold most commonly during the colder seasons in Korea. A 천원 (1000 Won) will buy you a bag of four or five of these lovely snacks. These can be found all across the country at most open air vendors. If you never tried them, you should.

Nickelbrook Beer. mmm mmmm beery. I tried this beer in the Discovery Pack available in the LBCO. After drinking Korean beers for a year, Nickelbrook Green Apple Pilsner was a very welcome change. The beer is only four percect but is perfect for someone just wanting a couple beers and is ok stepping out of the typical beer drinking box. It is a great tasting beer with a hint of a tart taste that makes it delicious. I really liked it and hope other people give it a try too.
